Here is another recommendation: I rounded the sharp square edges of the seatpost clamp yoke to avoid it digging into the seat rail and possibly making a weak point by denting it.

Ah, that is 451mm. All good, all forks handle both sizes. The straight blade forks don't handle 406 with fat tyres, thats all. Anyway I have sent PMs to all the people on that list to see if they are still keen.

I'm really enjoying seeing the new TI Swift builds, and hoping to learn from that.

I am pleased with my Avid BB7 Road discs which are cable and short pull. This is my first road/short pull version, but I have the regular version on 2 or 3 other bikes. I can get the model numbers off the boxes if you want.

Don't worry if you can't make this batch, I have built up a good relationship with the builder and am able to apply some price pressure even if you want to do a single buy later, especially as we now have a lot of drawing to suit the majority of choices.

In order to hammer down frame size, each party will need to furnish either their preferred frame size top tube length or something similar so we can spec top tube length. For reference, the original Xootr has a 55cm top tube. That is essentially a size medium, perhaps good for medium sized people. Myself I am 5'10 so I prefer something longer, so for my own one I added an inch to that, for 57.5cm which is spot on. The previous batch most people went with 57.5cm, save for one at 55cm and one at 59cm.

Then the preferred wheel size is next plus the preferred braking system(s). Also the rear dropout width, the dropout style and the belt joint, if preferred.

I've had Avid BB7 Roads on both drop bar and flat bar bikes and like them. Lots of good reviews for TRP Spyres. And fietsbob suggests SA drums.

You can spec almost anything you want. The forks have braze-ons (at lest mine did) not sure about the rear triangles. They would need a tapped hole near the dropout somewhere. That would pose no problem.

Jur, I'm still in. On the main tube... I would like the longest main tube that will still fit in a Flite 31 suitcase (which may mean the standard main tube since the main tube length is the tightest fit when my steel Swift is packed in a suitcase). Suitcasing the bike and kit are critically important.

Can you pack your L size frame with 58 chain ring in a suitcase like a regular Swift?

I plan to use Shimano Alfine 11 IGH and Avid mech disc brakes, F and R. So... the forks and rear triangle must have the bosses for disc brakes.

I now have over 200km on my Ti Swift and have nothing but praise for the frame. The bike rides very well, and since I have a long torso and long arms I wanted with a longer top tube and stempost which I got. By far the most comfortable bike position of the 5 folders I own.

I have done some minor setup tweeks since I posted last, but nothing of substance. I mounted a Garmin Oregon 600 and am using that as a bike computer. Debating on whether or not to add the cadence sensor. I have one on another bike and it seems like it makes the Garmin into a more reliable computer. Haven't been able to mount a rear rack yet, the rear disc brake is in the way of the ones I own, so I ordered one for discs that should be here by next weekend. The ultimate goal for this bike is to get the chance to do a tour or two in far-away locations, and that works better with a rack.

Didn't some of these get to the NYC area? First they get lost in shipping and then they just disappeared. I hope that means that folks are having too much fun riding them to post pictures... I am very interested in seeing how the belt-drive frame looks when finished.
