Dahon introducing 22
Just got a pressrelease from Dahon.
They want to fill the vacancy between 20 and 24 inch folders. The tire size is 22 inch. Bike is called "Calibur" has oversized hinges, a complete new handlepost, which is adjustable in height, and also you can rotate it back for an upright riding position. Real clever. One thing I like a lot is that the new calibur is rated to 280 lbs, when ordered in the XL version, which has 36 hole spoke wheels, with Sapim Strong spokes ( 2.3x2 mm ) versus the more common straight gauge 2 mm spokes. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=372144 The frame tubes have received a special attention and are super strong, I assume thats why the bike can carry a higher load. Currently there are 2 models in the 22 inch category. One lightweight racer ( derrailleur and carbon stuff galore, and the XL version which comes with HD parts, a 7 speed Nexus hub IGH Interesting is that both bikes come with V brakes, but the front OLD is 100 mm and the fork and frame has disc brake taps... woohooo ... great choice the Race version is plain Mercedes silver, whereas the XL bike comes in a drab olive ( Nato green ?) Any idea what 22" size they are referring to? 457, 484, 489, 490, or 501?
