Novel Brompton Injury Mode?
Riding my Brompton and managed to snag the back of my left sneaker on the roller wheel (I have the small, standard rollers) - the wheel actually snuck in between shoe and sock.
Since I was accelerating and had my weight on the right pedal, this was momentarily somewhat painful - left pedal driving the ball of my left foot upward while the roller wheel held my ankle down.
Just wondering if I'm the only person to have managed this.

Not quite as bad as what you describe, but similar. I always think about the shoes I plan to wear with the Brompton.

Sort of... the EZ Wheels are larger and so a bit more difficult to "slip in" and wedge your foot. However, they are larger and for me (size 11 feet), my heel just clears the wheel when cycling. I've since put roller blade wheels on - unlike you, I tend to roll mine a lot inbetween rides. I have to be a bit more vigilant to make sure my heels don't slip too far back on the pedals.

Now that I think about it and your comment about footwear, I never noticed this when using the bike to commute (in well-fitting and slick-uppered dress shoes). Maybe just paying attention to footwear is the trick. Or just paying attention...

Yes, footwear does make a difference with the Brompton. I avoid chunky runners with overbuilt up heels. I find a slimmer fitting boot or shoes works best - plus it's more stylish! I'm so vain...

I did this yesterday, with the Eazy Wheels. I wasn't pedaling hard, so my shoe just caught on the wheel and my other leg continued pedaling for about half a turn before I realized what happened.
I don't know if I was pedaling with my toes or what - I had just started the ride, so maybe my feet weren't in the best position yet. Not a big deal, IMO.

Initially I would only knock my ankle against the stock wheels, not with any force, just enough to be annoying. I flipped the wheels so that the portion with the larger diameter is inboard and they don't stick out as far.

+1 have done this, with the EZ wheels. And had them catch and unfurl my rolled-up trouser leg.
