Folding ahead stem on my BF tikit

That's an adjustable stem with a quick release instead of the original M7 bolt. I got the idea and details from WK on the Bike Friday Yak.

That is amazing. How do you manage to have a life PLUS being the internet's biggest dickhead week after week?

Sweet. Where did you find the ahead adjustable stem that swiveled 90 degrees? Your stem looks lighter than the one I'm using.

The only one I found here is made by Satori sold under the name Genetic. I am happy with the deep teeth of the adjustable stem, however.

perhaps you mistook the "are you a wizard" image as an insult. it was intended as a compliment.

come to think of it, now i'm recalling those times you asked me for information and i took time out of my day to be your free internet intern and provide you with data. you never even said thanks. and now you're calling me a dickhead.

i guess i should hope to live to be as old and grumpy as you.

Is the quick release firm enough for holding the stem? I thought the joint is heavy-dutied.

as a newbie I can not send forum message, so I answer your message here. I've read your message about the wheels, and sent you two email, but never heard from you:(. I wondered the mails had been blocked?

It can hold up a seatpost through friction. With interlocking teeth, I suspect that it is quite a bit more resistant.

My first thought was to use that type of quick release stem to point the bar up and then use a quick release to lower the adjustable stem mast. But a few measurements convinced me that I wouldn't be able to lower it enough on the tikit with any bar that had forward extension.

You mistook an internet meme as an insult. You owe this gentleman an apology.

Better late than never.

I apologise for calling you a dickhead. It was the cumulative sarcastic-looking memes starting with the one you posted when I called the Brompton a (slow) dog, which made me think you just added another insult to the list.

I am quite a grumpy chap. Please forgive me.

Ha! Those of us who have been around for a while will remember the thread where you were chastised for excessive grumpiness and you responding you were leaving the list.

But your extensive small wheel/folding knowledge - and perhaps that abundance of grumpiness - must have needed an outlet, because you came back after some months.
