...they weren't very helpful or friendly. It was like they didn't want my hard earned cash.
Called Xootr and the guy was extremely friendly and helpful. Like night and day difference.

I've had the same experience with Xootr -- really friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to do just about anything to meet a customer's requests. No idea about Montague; bummer, though, about that bad experience.

Bike Industry typically .. Manufacturers work thru dealers , .. not the customer, directly..

Which company are you referring to? Both sell bikes on their websites.

Not at all, it's an honest question. Do you believe that to be an excuse to treat potential customers poorly?

That's unfortunate. I emailed Montague a couple of times and received prompt, informative answers.

Don't know about Montague but Steve, Brian, along with Peter from Xootr+ has been very helpful with my pestering. They already have my business, just trying to send the cash over. They will have to have an awful bike to mess it up- I don't think so.
