Question about installing front fender on Dahon Mu Uno with brake

I purchased a set of SKS mini 20s for my Mu Uno. Rear fender went on fine but I can't seem to find a way to bolt the front fender on without taking the brake caliper. Am I missing something? Or is this an either/or situation? I'd like to find a way to install the fender AND keep the brake on.

Thanks!

I think I figured it out. The fender bracket goes in front of the brake hole not in back. I'll try it out tonight.

There's also these:
Problem Solvers

Used them on an older road bike. You'll need a different screw to go into the back of the Sheldon nut.

After spending $20 for the Sheldon nuts, it won't work for the Dahon mu uno. It won't even fit in the front hole of the fork after removing the front brake.

The fender bracket goes in front of the brake hole not in back.
with a recessed nut, thats a good approach .. some mudguards, without an L bracket, a screw into a Plug in the bottom of the steerer tube will work .

into a Cork or another star nut, perhaps ?

If you look at this video in goes in the back hole, not front. The only thing I see differently is that this one does not have the front brakes. Unless the OP tells us if he solved his problem will never know.

The Sheldon nuts go in the back of the fork;they replace the brake's recessed nut. Are you using a recessed brake? If not,the fender should just mount to the brake's mounting bolt(replacing the washer if need be).

Just wanted to thank you and yes it worked as you described above. Needed a 1 X 6 mm screw. To put closure to this thread, it mounts on the back of the brake hole.
