Why I am not buying an ergonomic saddle...

The theory sounds good. I have read numerous product websites, health reports and of course the threads on this forum.

So, why am I cancelling my shopping?

1. Expense: As a bike professional commented to me: 'bicycling is the new golf', as in an elite market.
2. Simplicity: 'If it's not broken, don't fix it'. I don't cycle for more than 5 kilometers, and rarely get numbness.
3. Waste: If I could go into a bike fit store, get all my measurements and tests done (for under $100), then be shown 3-4 saddles to TRY for a day, the one that works best I buy - that could work. But as no local retail stores carry any of the ergo seats it would be time-consuming to hit and miss try the many options by mail order.
