Used Speed Uno needs new spokes and front brakes
 

I picked up a used Dahon Speed Uno but the rear wheel has 3 broken spokes. I called Thorusa but they didn't know what replacement spokes lengths was for the Speed Uno.

I don't know enough about rebuilding and lacing new spokes to tear apart my rear wheel.

What type and spoke length is for the Speed Uno?

I did find other post elsewhere suggesting to buy SJS spokes from the UK.
British made 14g stainless steel plain gauge spoke - £1.84

Is that necessary? Are there alternatives that works just as well?

This poor Speed Uno was all dirty and looks to have been rode like a BMX. I'm trying to clean it up and put a front brake on it.
Is there a front brake kit(caliper, cables, levers) that works good? Is that front wheel rim designed to take a front brake?

Head over to your LBS and ask for some assistance. I'm sure they can help you with the brakes and the spokes. Just because you didn't buy it there doesn't mean they won't appreciate the business.

Why not just label and remove an existing spoke from each side of the wheel and measure it?

cant tell you the correct spoke length ... but I do have them in stock ... let your dealer measure it and than call me we can send the exact number of spokes to him for repair ...
or to you sa well of course

but again you need to have them measured correctly
