can anyone tell me about these? experience? NOT electric. 20", 7sp shimano rear, single front sprocket, V brakes, single rectangular top tube hinged. looks better than some. no pic sorry. looks similar to I-Zip but maybe older. might get it just to have a trunk or stash at work emergency bike. just wondering. thanks.

It took me about 5 seconds to find a picture by putting "Currie E-folder" on Google. It is an electric assist bike. Not my cup of tea so I have helped you as much as I can. Roger

Hmmm... so you are looking for opinions on a non-electric bike that is similar to an electric bike the izip? I am a bit confused but hope to follow the thread and see what transpires...

Bought it, rather inexpensively from my favorite bike center in Porter, TX. They set it up free as usual. A great place.!

See, a major bad weather noontime power failure at work Friday shut down the area and 'locked' our parking garage for 2 hours until someone 'mechanical' got it open and 'security' agreed to 'let' us out the one vehicle entrance. Considered a 'bad' neighborhood so walking around in office clothes is not a supported.

BUT... I've seem several old white homeless on bikes in the area who don't seem to get hassled so I figured I'd put on some workshop clothes, worn out sneakers, old ball cap, hang some trash bags from this bike, carry it down the stairway and ease out of the area un-noticed in case of a 'major' meltdown.

Putting on a brake boss front rack and a cheap rear rack chopped lower; adding some duct tape, a couple of beverage crates or metal 'in' baskets plus trash bags should give it the the street look. Darwin noted adaptability is a valuable attribute.
