Feeling behind on news... Fast & Furious guy died? 2 years ago? in a car crash?

It seems I've been "out of it", too focused on my own things, not following current events for a while... Just found out that Paul Walker, the undercover cop on the 1st fast and furious, died 2 years ago. How the heck I missed that?

RIP Paul Walker

That said... and his daughter is suing porche? Like is Porsche's fault Paul tried to drift a curve doing 100MPH on a 45mph road? That's right up there with blaming McDonald's for getting fat.

All true. So you can sue Hyundai the next time your car gets the whacka-puffas after you reassembled it on the dining table.

By all accounts he was a great guy. He did a lot for charity without publicizing it. One story of his kindness:

He was not driving. I think the car's crash structure gave it up hitting the curb, so there was nothing left to give on the second hit. It caught fire and has a lot of magnesium/carbon rather than aluminum/steel like a normal car. Horribly his daughter was there to see what happened. And then recently, this:

Yea the whole thing kind of gets my blood boiling. Nothing but a waste of time that will only serve to sully the deceased's good name and line a few pockets.

I'm further behind. I haven't seen the movies, or know who the actors are.

At first I wondered if you were talking about the 1955 film "The Fast and the Furious" starring John Ireland. He's also dead, but he died in 1992.
