Why don't people list their oatmeal recipes in their sigs/profiles?

The type of oatmeal you prefer and what you put in your oatmeal says a lot about who you are. Do you agree?

Agreed.

This is a significant topic and worthy of at least two pages of discussion ... possibly more. I would go further, and suggest that there may well be a correlation between one's oatmeal and one's bicycle of choice. For example, I suspect that those with a propensity to use so-called 'instant' oatmeal may well have a propensity toward plastic (aka carbon fibre) bicycles. Or not.

Never mind; the point is that we should all be more forthcoming when it comes to disclosing our dietary preferences, bicycle choices, junk dispositions, and locations. Doing so can only further encourage the kinds of informed discussion for which Bike Forums is justly celebrated.

This is class warfare. Not everyone has the time or money for oatmeal.

There's not going to be any room for oatmeal recipes if we all have to list our bikes and append a description of our private parts.

Excellent point. The OP of course makes an (unargued) assumption -- that everyone can and does consume oatmeal. That assumption is potentially hurtful to many members here.

What kind of bowl does everyone use for their oatmeal? Is it steel, aluminum or CF?

Quaker Oats steel cut oats with frozen berry medley, banana's and 2 oz of POM pomegranate juice. What kind of person does that make me?

You're a mod; you can always move this to P&R if you think the topic is inappropriate for "general cycling discussion."

I don't like oatmeal, so my recipe IS in my profile. Some of these other recipes sound pretty good - except for the oatmeal.
