What is more pathetic...

There are many people on BF (& all social media) that will boast and tell lies. Nothing new, the "fish that got away" stories are as old as time. It's kinda pathetic, but expected. And BF (& all social media) has "cops" to call BS on the liars. The issue is the "cops" get an ego that gets in the way of seeing the truth. Then these small ego "cops" can't back down when there is no lie... This is more pathetic than lying.

Twice in as many weeks, I have made a truthful post (admittedly a little boastful), but accurate, compete details, but the "cops" have jumped all over me and refused to back down, even in the face of facts and supporting documentations. To the point of say, well everything you said is true but I'm still not impressed, I can do better. In effect, becoming the boastful liar in their own way. This is the most pathetic.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Nobody believes I'm Donald Trump's most trusted advisor even when I offer proof. I don't really care. When we take over then they'll be sorry, the losers. I'm gonna have a virtual wall built around them and they are gonna pay for it and like it.

i believe neither the toad nor the pig, as i don't generally take the word of the lower animal forms without concrete proof.

plus, the pig is the most prolific liar here.

there are lots of reasons why people join and post on forums.
After you have been a member of any message board for a year or so, you are no doubt seeing same the same subjects posted over and over.
It gets boring. So you move on, or you spice it up.
You, by boasting
them, by flaming
It's all part of the entertainment

Oh boo hoo. Welcome to the internet, chief. What's that they say in the 41? HTFU? Might want to try a little of that. Let me go find The World's Smallest Violin®, play you a little tune.

Also, I genuinely don't give a damn. I really do like riling people up, though.

The trick to boasting is to make it incomprehensible to mere mortals and therefore irrefutable.

It's good that the pathetic people have a place to get entertainment.

I am not new to this forum or forums in general. Yes, I see the same topics over and over again from new users. I feel no reason to be a dick to a new person, it's like high school kids picking on the new kid to make themselves look 'cool'. It's the tragic actions of a weak ego.

There will always be the small-intellect person that posts something to start a flame war, by all means, have fun with it. But when somebody is asking a legit n00b question that you likely wanted to ask when you started, don't be an a$$ just to boost your tiny ego and get your giggles. And when you find out you're talking with a real person that isn't making ***** up or trolling, grow up and move on.

My goodness, I had no idea you were officially part of Internet Standards & Practices. I didn't get that impression because your own flame posts are so logically flawed and poorly composed, I thought you were just another random person sitting behind a keyboard, just like the rest of us. Unless the tag under your name says moderator/admin, your opinions are just that-- opinions. You are the one who made this thread because you obviously felt so salty after being called out on your "wind facts." I'm terribly sorry it was so important to you, and that you can't withstand the (mild) criticism of complete internet strangers without feeling the need to create an entire thread to vent about it.

And for chrissakes, comparing the internet to high school? Take it easy, SJW.

i like frog legs. i don't know if i would prepare them myself. that might be a little gross to rip them off a frog as one does with a game bird and still retain my appetite. but there's a fish market in tulsa where i always order them when i'm in town. people say they taste like chicken. but they're sorta in between fish and fowl. they go good with fries, hush puppies, slaw, and beer. they're better than snake and alligator, which always tastes dry and plain. i prefer them grilled with cayenne seasoning, just like my chicken.

a bowl of beans and cornbread with frog legs would be good too. i usually use a little tabasco sauce in my beans. the beer needs to be a little on the light side for a meal like this -- not too hoppy (no pun) and not too dark.

when i dissected a frog for the first time, i assure you my own hunger was the last thing on my mind. nothing about that absurd and lifeless frog appeared appetizing. and the smell! no, you really don't ever think of eating frogs when the normal fare is readily available. frog legs are a bit of a curious delicacy in that way -- strange, alien, almost uninviting. but they're one that begs to be tried at least once, maybe deep fried with some cocktail sauce on the side.

Aside from the fascinating color of the frog's gall bladder, I remember very little of dissecting frogs. An amphibian shouldn't have to give his life for that. Substitute cayenne for formaldehyde, though..

i will agree that barbecuing frog legs is a more virtuous end than if stuck floating cold in a jar in a passionless lab.

Well when you've had an exciting and eventful lifetime of experiences you'll always find people that haven't who will be a hard sell on anything that they missed seeing from the couch.
