Man Shouts “*** That Alligator”, Jumps Into Lake And Is Killed By Alligator

"He removed his shirt, removed his billfold … someone shouted a warning and he said ‘blank the alligators’ and jumped in to the water and almost immediately yelled for help."

Woodward becomes the first man to be killed by an alligator in Texas since 1836.

I've noticed a few crazy death stories lately in the news, like the guy that got himself dissolved in a Yellowstone hot spring Portland man who died in Yellowstone hot spring was trying to 'hot pot' | OregonLive.com

While Scott was bending over to check the temperature of a spring, according to the report, he slipped and fell in, succumbing quickly to the boiling acidic water.

"There's a closure in place to keep people from doing that for their own safety," Lorant Veress, deputy chief ranger, told KULR. "It's a very unforgiving environment."

And I saw a story yesterday that showed global deaths from selfies; it seems India is in the lead, by a long shot... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...says-way-more/

The analysis — provocatively titled “Me, Myself and My Killfie: Characterizing and Preventing Selfie Deaths" — found that of 127 reported selfie deaths from March 2014 to September,"a whopping 76 deaths occurred in India alone!”

“*** That Alligator”

I still can't figure out what 3-letter word was prohibited by the bad-word-checker! In that context, the only word I can come up with is "Get" but that that would have passed. And "Ass" doesn't make sense and you can say "Ass"!

I don't want to give Florida Man too much credit, but I think even he knows not to do something that stupid.

Don't know if he had kids already, but still, even just removing his potential child-rearing practices could help his kids out...

Disney has a gator exhibit. It's basically a big trench with maybe a hundred gators in it. They stop the tram on a bridge over the trench.

It gave me that Jurassic Park feeling.

I saw this when it first happened. Other visitors suffer when idiots do stuff like this.

And don't get me started on the people who approach bison to get selfies and the like. You always hear about bear fears in Yellowstone, but bison kill and injure far more park visitors than bears. When I rode through the park in '00 I gave them a wide berth. They can spring over 20 mph., and their heads are like wrecking balls. Had to ride by a few last year in Wind Cave N.P. and Custer S.P. in South Dakota. Made me quite nervous.
