I do not follow it, though I will watch if I see it on.

Not exactly the same, but I have tickets for this year's Indy 500, and I'm very excited about the trip. I am taking my Dad, my brother and my nephew. We'll also be catching the horses racing live at Indianna Grand.

(Edit--tried to show the view from the seats, but the link isn't working right. Anyway, we will be in row D just behind the guy dropping the checkered flag. Pit row and the big media tower will be right across from us.)

If you're ever around Lexington in April or October and haven't been, you have to go to Keeneland for horse racing.

Been a fan since I was 5 yrs old . 56 now. . I read Racer.com ,PlanetF1.com daily. I've been a big Mclaren fan for years unfortunately it hasn't been well for them for a while to put it mildly. I also like to follow IMSA & Indy car. Watkins Glen isn't that far away so I like going down for the races when I can.

Funny you mention that. I've been to so many tracks I lost count. They all have unique character, and I like them all to some extent. I enjoy the little tracks, like Ellis Park, even the county fair races. Of course, there is something special about being at the big time races, like Belmont or Santa Anita. But, Keeneland is the best. I went there many times when I lived in Ohio.

I had a college roommate pique my interest in the late 70's. We made two trips down to Long Beach when they were still racing F1. I lost track for many years but with the track here in Austin, I've started following it a bit more. I went to qualifying for the inaugural race and then to race day the second year. While it's a novelty to be able to go to the track, the TV coverage is tough to beat. I too hope that it's not a two car show this year. The only excitement last year was whether Nico would break down in any of the last races.

Yeah and I hope they carry it into the season. I don't want another boring one like the past few.

It's not that there were no exciting races or even battles for the title, and I have seen team dominance before, but the ban on testing and limitation of upgrades kept this dominance much longer than in the past. The questionable decisions of the stewards that influenced the battle for the title didn't help the entertainment either.

True. Maybe it will get better with Bernie gone.

Maybe Mercedes ran the tests with considerably more fuel, which would mean they are still 0.5 ahead, but I read that on the BBC and they tend to wishful thinking when it comes to Hamilton.

At least Ferrari got a lot of laps in with little trouble, and looks balanced and fast.

Why don't they play the National Anthem Of Monaco when the winning [and other podium (place and show)] drivers actually lives there .. for its Tax Haven Benefits.

{Quite a few Pro Cyclists live there too, the coverage of Paris Nice mentioned some names, Froome is not working the early season, he lives in Monaco too)
