Carbuncle or boil treatment

Have one of these nasty critters on my back, just out of reach. -- size of a quarter

Early on I went to an urgent care clinic and they said they couldn't lance it, as it was hard at the time and all they would get was blood, -- but they gave me some antibiotics and said it should go away in a few days

That was a week ago

Hasn't gone away - It doesn't hurt, but is gross looking and it bugs me just being there.

I'm a single guy and have no help so I haven't been able to put any salve or ointment on the thing but not sure if that would even help

Be patient and let the meds do their thing? Or is there anything to expedite clearing these things up

A dermatologist or G.P. would probably diagnose this as a sebacious cyst and could remove it as it will most likely return periodically. They will probably want to wait until the inflamation goes down before the procedure. Now where do I send the bill for this consultation?

Could it be a polinidal cyst?
Some one I know had one, a small one. He went to urgent care and they lanced it there to drain and heal. It took a long time to heal, like 6 weeks.
