How long ago did you get your 4K display, and how patient are you?

If your 4K TV is less than 2 years old, I would wait another 2 years before springing for an HDR set, because by then we'll have 8K HDR sets.

And for anyone wondering where the content will come from...check out the plans for the 2018 Olympics telecast.

Not just resolution but also refresh rate...nvm interconnects and their bandwidth. 4K@60Hz I'd take over 4K@30Hz with HDR. I'm not sure what interface can even handle 8K@60Hz ATM.

Is this an Olympics year? I stopped caring after NBC made the party unwatchable back....a decade...2 decades? Ago.

was it worth upgrading to 4k? Our xbox one supports it but I don't think our tv or satellite service does.

I still have a TV with a cathode ray/analog picture tube. I hardly watch it, so there's no real reason to buy a new-fangled digital TV.
