16 years ago, I joined Bike Forums

Actually, I was around under a different name for a little bit before I re-upped under this name. Tonight I'm online killing time as I wait for my laundry to finish drying. I decided to check on some old links which I have not visited in a while. Bike Forums caught my eye, so I logged in to see how y'all are doing. Sadly, I have not been a regular contributor for ages, but it's fun to see what everyone is talking about from time to time.

While checking my stats to see what I posted from years ago, I noticed the join date of 9-29-01. Wow. It feels kind of strange looking back at the years. The Wayback Machine shows that there were 1595 members on 9-23-01, just before I registered. My how you have grown.

Forgive me if posting in Foo is incorrect for this, but no other forum seemed appropriate for a pointless post like this. Well, I hear the dryer buzzer, so I must go now. Time to put everything away and go to bed.

Good Night, Bike Forums!

P.S. I went back to read some of my posts and I cringed. I really did come across as a jerk sometimes. My apologies.

Howdy. Foat Wuther here too. Just started back riding a couple of years ago. Fort Worth is a much better cycling town now than it was 30 years ago when I last rode a bike.

I think I remember chatting with you about how I was able to fit a burrito in a water bottle cage years ago, it's good to see you again.

No, not since I began having back problems a few years ago. Prior to that I was an everyday bike commuter doing a 30 mile round trip daily. I commuted from near North East Mall in Hurst up to Roanoke for work., in case y'all Fort Worth guys were interested in my route.

16 years ago, thanks to my wife, I was a year into surfing the internet on a 1.4 mhz processor, 15 kbps dial up, and a forever crashing Windows ME computer,BF wasn't even on my radar until several years later, with my having a better connection and computer.

No, not seriously at this point. Perhaps in the future I will get one and be back in business.

Wow... I coincidentally decided to check in again here too after a layoff, and also originally joined in 2001. Nice to see some familiar folks posting!
