Of course the answer is yes. Milk of all kinds comes from brown cows, including chocolate milk.

Jerseys, Brown Swiss & Milking Shorthorns are all brown. A few other milkers are cream with brown spots or brown with cream spots. Yes, Holsteins are black and cream and are one of the more common dairy cows, but not the only kind.

I should start another thread about people not reading articles. It should be a sticky on every net forum.

Hold the phone.

"When one team of researchers interviewed fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders at an urban California school, they found that more than half of them didn’t know pickles were cucumbers, or that onions and lettuce were plants."

Okay. Then... umm... what do they think lettuce is, then? Is it an animal? I mean, I've met people that didn't know that onions grow right in the ground-- I guess they imagine onions grow on trees like apples-- but that seems forgivable. How "urban" do you need to be to not know that lettuce is a plant?

I read it. Sign me up as someone who would answer yes if this yes/no question was asked:
"Does chocolate milk come from brown cows?

But if given an option for a written response I'd say: "It can and some of it does"

The only reason for the survey was marketing milk products. Having 'curious' responses that are picked up my the media is part of the play.

I have news for the authors of this article. There are people that are unaware that milk comes from cows and eggs from chickens. They think they they come from the store and that is about the extent of their thought process.

It is frightening when you realize how many stupid people there in the world. I really hate going into the city anymore. You see droves of them lust loafing. Taking up space is their goal in life.

Could be worse, think election day.
Though I think ignorant is more accurate rather than stupid.

I have a friend that was insisting that polar bears eat penguins. I told him, only at the zoo when someone leaves the door open. He had no idea what I was talking about,

Both of the biggest Farmers Markets in the Baltimore Metro are in the City, and just outside of the city. And I don't see the loafing you are talking about either. Far from it. Professionals, and people from all over the world. Droves of them loafing? Kidding?

You must be walking around with your eyes closed. There is a public area here where chairs and benches were removed because of the complaints of loitering. Walk into any fast food restaurant in the city. People camped out all day sipping on one beverage. Go to just about any public park. A lot of street corners for that matter. An old co-worker would say "it is called a sidewalk and not a sidestand".

I'd probably answer "yes" if you asked me if chocolate cows came from brown milk in a telephone survey because I'd think a stupid question like that deserves a stupid answer.

So if chocolate milk comes from brown cows does that mean pink/strawberry milk comes from pink cows

For some reason this reminds me of the guy I met when I was 15 years old who sincerely thought my friend Bob & I were brothers because we had the same name. Seriously.

Although, he was a drummer, which might explain things.
