All I see is football

Thursday, Sunday, Monday it is NFL. Thursday, Friday, Saturday it is College Football. West coast college games start as late as 9:30pm and last until about 1am. Iím in the central time zone. My foot is healing great but I have a long way to go and a lot of football to watch

Lots of cycling on Eurosport this weekend, including world champs. VPN in and watch.

You'd have to pay me money to watch a 4-hour long game with 15 minutes of actual players actually playing...

It's the funniest thing. I went to college on a football scholarship. I was the starting QB in my sop****re year. But, these days I have no interest in watching football. I do enjoy small college games like the Ivy League or some smaller New England colleges but the pro game and the college pro game does not interest me at all. Just a money making circus.

Amen Brother!

Ivy League football is football as it was meant to be played. I love the game the way they play it. The "pro" college game is a joke and the NFL may well be beyond salvation.

American football is the greatest game God ever created, but it is a sham as it is played today.

Sounds like heaven. My favorite time of the year is just beginning. Soon the country roads, paved and dirt, will be at their most beautiful as the cooler and less humid weather takes hold, and hopefully the Dawgs will keep marching towards a rematch.

I saw it coming in the first half. I told my son that I wished Taylor would complete some passes so Mayfield wouldn't come in. Glad your team finally won I just wish it wasn't the Jets who made it happen

San Antonio tried to land a MLS team but failed. We have minor league soccer. San Antonio is a fairly big city but the city is in the shadow of DFW and Houston when it comes to major league sports. We do have the Spurs and some NBA titles. I think 5. The Spurs are in the rebuilding process today.

+1. I could care less about ANY pro sports. Don't get me wrong--if ya' got tickets to a real game, I'll go, but to waste all day, or weekend sitting on my duff, yelling at the tube--no eff'ing way. Watching sports on tv is a TOTAL waste of time. TV sports is for people who don't have a life.

Friday night, I was at a high school football game. My daughter is a cheerleader and it was their homecoming. Then all day Saturday at my son’s soccer tournament. Saturday night we watched U of O collapse, then SC hold on against WSU. Sunday morning back to the soccer tournament and I half paid attention to the Niners game.

Some people see football, other people see other things. Not being a huge football fan, I would probably prefer seeing the dead people. Maybe I can get caught up on the latest "dead people gossip" with them.

I watch mostly college ball and don't much attention to the NFL until the playoffs. But outside of football and golf, we seldom watch network channels or ESPN. Which means we don't otherwise see political advertising. I find that now to be the real downside of televised sports.

Watching my birds finally win it all was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I had to be frosty for work the next morning so I could head to the celebration on Broad St. Worked from home during the parade because I live very close to the end point. Afterwards, this guy decided to take a nap in my planter.

Yah, right. Watching golf is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

I've heard of "taking matters into your own hands" but someone else's planter box is not the place to do it. I hope it was at least "good" for the plants. "Where Have All the Flowers Gone"? They're covering their eyes in shame!

He's on his back with a beer in his right hand. At first he was just sitting there. Checked back 5 minutes later and he was on his back. I went out and told him he had to leave. The sun was setting and it was starting to get cold. I didn't want him to die of hypothermia and get sued by his family. (My employer got sued a few years ago for not calling the police when a couple of employees allegedly saw a passed out man on our property. Guy ended up freezing to death.) At first he didn't respond, so I said "O.k. I'm going to call the cops." He immediately sat up and walked off.
