Florida man?

We've all seen his exploits on the internet (and we know that means they have to be true), and we all know there are similar people in other states doing the same crazy things. Post those exploits here, even if they'renot from Florida like this guy.

Recommended viewing, if you like documentaries about guys getting eaten by bears, that are narrated by Werner Herzog:

One of my Facebook friends is in Florida. Every morning he posts the latest exploits of Floridaman, a crypto-hominid species that seems to defy genetic connections but appears to be more of a cultural/anthropological phenomenon.

I suspect it's just a case of Florida being the drain hair filter for the United States.

In the above case, the fellow from Kentucky was probably en route to Florida and his Floridaman kin when he got lost in Tennessee and was relieved of his burden by a friendly bear before getting a shot at the nation's gigantic hair filter.

Thanks for the heads-up on the parody, I had not seen that one.

I was wondering if this was Floridaman vacationing in Kentucky, or just a kindred spirit.

Florida being one of the most populous and diverse states, Im sure you could do the same with California, Texas, New York. That would cover 1/3rd of the US population

Folks I know who live in Florida say it's not exaggerated. The problem appears to be the warm weather attracting homeless and transient people who often are mentally ill or have chronic behavioral problems - IOW, misfits.

Combine that with drugs and booze and it's a recipe for creating Floridaman.

I've visited Florida several times and lived in Pensacola for awhile. Even by Texas standards for erratic misfits, Florida was pretty messed up.

You win. Timothy Treadwell I think was his name, pretty much the epitome of "Florida Man" outside of Florida. I like how one of the native guys they interview says he thinks the bears didn't kill him sooner because they thought he was mentally challenged. I can appreciate the fact that he thought he was trying to save the bears or whatever, but man, what a fool. Nobody deserves to die like that.

Also I hear parts of Hawaii are quite interesting in the "Florida Man" type of way, for the same reasons. Dog the bounty hunter agrees brah.

Looking at her photos, you wouldn't think she would have a problem with getting turned down.

Yeah, that's how the crazy ones sucker their victims -- female and male. Seems like fun at first. Before long you're wishing you'd followed Jimmy Soul's advice.

Dunno whether Jimmy followed the advice of his predecessor.

The problem is at some point the repulsive crazy outweighs the attractive good looks...

Father spinning gun on finger accidentally shoots self at daughter's birthday party

HUMBLE, Texas - Deputies said a father accidentally shot himself at his daughter's 16th birthday party in Humble Saturday.

It happened at a home on Wintergreen Drive near Woodland Hills Drive.

Detectives said the man was spinning his gun on his finger when it went off. He shot himself in the stomach and is now in the hospital, officials said.

Deputies have not shared an update on how he's doing.
