Going to see Kiss, no apologies, lol

I joined the Kiss Army Kiss played Corpus Christi last night and will be in Dallas tonight but I will have to wait until their 2nd wave across the USA on Sept 8 in San Antonio. I know their music is cheesy and all but I have been a fan since the 70s.

They have been at it long enough to put on a damned good show. Enjoy yourself.

AKA "Corpus KISSTI".

I would imagine that those guys really need their makeup these days, more than ever.

Remember to bring earplugs!. I LOVED going to rock and roll shows where the band put on a great live show. Never saw KISS, but these guys put on a mind-blowing, over-the-top show I won't forget:

They still play gigs, but not with the outlandish costumes and stage shows.

I despise that song, but totally dig alot of KISS' lesser played songs. Been streaming a good classic rock station that plays alot of lesser heard stuff.

I'm sure in 1975, a few high school boys (and girls) called it their rock anthem, but for me, I was into more mellower song artists of that time period, and songs with a little more substance than a chorus line stuck on loop. .

Kiss sucks, but I have heard they put on a good show.

When I was in high school if you asked anyone, who was in a garage band, what their band's name was they would answer Kiss 2.

I liked Kiss back in the day and would go see 'em today, but hopefully the show isn't too long...

They were my Beatles when I was in the 3rd-4th grade.

First show ever in the 4th grade, painted up like Ace. Wish I had pics.

Alive is still a guilty pleasure.

I've never been to a rock concert. Plenty classical -- played more than paid.

If I ever go to a rock show it will be They Might Be Giants.

My 64 year old neighbor had strict parents and rock n roll was the devil so just imagine what they thought of KISS so I bought her a ticket as a surprise so she can experience a live rock concert. Her husband hates rock so it is all kind of funny in a good way so she teases him about going to see KISS and he will say something back. I play KISS music to get her acclimated to the sound. I say just have fun and don’t be serious about it.

I doubt any tours will happen until 2021. I can’t see being in Houston at Minute Maid Field in July crammed in there with 45,000 people. I guess we will see.

Way back in Jr. High we had kiss fans and yes fans. I was a yes fan and thought kiss fans were morons, the kiss fans thought the yes fans were queers, but we could all agree on alice cooper, he ROCKED ! 🎸

I saw them live in 1979. I am sitting within arm's reach of my Gibson Les Paul (made in 1957) in case I get the itch.

Yup, My phone is loaded with concert tickets but I’m not sure when they are going to happen. KISS in Lafayette got moved that was the first one postponed the next is Mtley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison, Joan Jett in Houston on July 15. Is it a go? I don’t know if it will be safe then and there will be 40,000+ there. I guess time will tell.
