Pretty shocking stuff. I thought they had set some records swimming across the English Channel or something ...

Kind of a BS site... totally missed Diana Nyad

In 2013, on her fifth attempt and at age 64, she became the first person confirmed to swim from Cuba to Florida without the aid of a shark cage, swimming from Havana to Key West (110 mi or 180 km).

Annnnd... here's a new record...

Simone Biles just made history. Again.

The 22-year-old just became the first gymnast to ever attempt and land a double-twisting, double somersault dismount off the balance beam, according to Team USA.

It's jaw-dropping

Yup, and likely snagged more than a few "Best Mom" records as well.

There's that human-powered land-speed record recently broken by an amazing woman that got a lot of press, and discussion here at BF

Always wondered about Margaret Court's Grand Slam tennis titles record. Since the women only play a 'best two-out-of-three-sets' competition, while the men have to play a 'three-out-of-five-sets', is it possible those extra sets the men have to play each match causes them to burn out quicker (injuries, too), so the women have longer careers and can win more matches? Just a thought . . .

Rowing across the English Channel (one man boat) - record held by a woman. Men's record set at the same time (two rowers set out together) but not as fast as the woman.

According to the Guinness Book of Records, Ms Flynn first set the record for the largest shoe-related collection in 2006 with 7,765 items in her possession.
