Scientists taught rats how to drive.

Rats have learned how to drive and steer their own tiny cars in exchange for Froot Loops.

That's a feat on its own.
But wait, there's more. One bunch of rats was kept in a standard rat cage, another bunch in a "stimulating environment" full of neat rat toys.
When it came time to drive, the rats who played with ladders, balls and toys were more adept at operating and steering the ROV, thanks to the neuroplasticity (their brains' ability to change over time) triggered by their environment. Their unstimulated cage counterparts effectively "failed their driving test..."

I wonder if they will teach rats to ride bicycles, next...

Does DOT build them roundabouts thinking it will solve their lousy driving habits?

And do they have teeny little boom systems playing god only knows what until both they and the scientists can't hear well?

Now bring this technology to California and use it on people. Those rats could out-drive most of the people here.

We teach teenagers how to drive...teaching rats is not that big of a deal.

Eventually those rats will be outside at 3 am revving and adjusting their engines.
