Phase One Rebuild

We can rebuild this redneck we have the technology and he has his overpriced insurance. First pins in my finger then after 6 weeks then the rest of the rebuild. Then on to the left hand. The nurses were hot and the drugs feel neat. Then it will wear off then to ibuprofen.

I could of went to a hardware store and done this myself.

The finger is stuck at that angle. The device is pulling to finger straight to let the ligaments and skin loosen and regrow some tissue. Then they will cut it open release and straighten and remove the dupuytrens. Basically fishing line looking stuff that wraps around the ligaments pulling the fingers inward and other bad things.

I will find out when the drugs wear off. Not sure yet, the screws stuck in the finger bones might not feel very good.

Ibuprofen works shockingly well. There's a thread about this in T&N but I'll say again that prednisolone is a miracle drug for inflammation. Which I'm sure you'll have a lot of.

As to the pain suppression I have discovered that mixing ibuprofen and acetaminophen is very effective. And, according to the internet, it's okay because the liver deals with one of them and the kidneys the other. Sort of a one, two punch.

You aren't the only one, mixing NSAIDs can work as well as iPods do, and do so without the risk of addiction.

I just realized, that would be a great name for a high-alcohol party drink. Somebody must have done this already

Walmart called and I forgot to get my Vicodin But the ibuprofen is taking care of the pain and that is good. I hate pain killers they make me feel sick. So no opioids for me. But I will say yes to XX cerveza . If I hit my hand one one more thing today I知 going to become very sad. I forget it is there until I get that sharp wake up pain. The boredom pain is setting in so I知 jamming Fear Inoculum in the garage. Waiting for my sis to bring me my mexican beer! Oh well it is better than getting run over by a bus

Get the Vicodin, it's cheap. Don't use it if you don't have to. But keep it in your first aid kit.

I had pins in my hand for 6 or 8 weeks after breaking the last metacarpal. It was terribly bothersome and my liver will never forgive me for the steady diet of oxycodone and beer that ended up lasting a few years.
