Cannon was always my favorite PI, but as I grow older, I find I'm gaining a greater appreciation for Barnaby Jones.

Philip Marlowe is mine...

I called him up from a phone booth. The voice that answered was fat. It wheezed softly, like the voice of a man who had just won a pie-eating contest.

You mean, half-tau day?

https://tauday.com/tau-manifesto

pi should never have been defined as the ratio between circumference and diameter. Who has ever constructed a circle from its diameter? Circles are constructed from radii!

It saddens me that no one gave a shout out to Friday the 13th.

A circle can be constructed from its diameter as an ellipse in the limit of zero eccentricity. Nice tau video though.

Interesting. But I think the same criticisms would apply to ellipses. An ellipse is better defined by its center and semimajor/semiminor axes (radii). Or if drawing the the string loop method, by its two foci and perimeter of the loop
