SPACEX launch scrubbed.

Weather. Was to be the first manned flight for SPACEX. Lightening was seen in the area, and the launch has been scrubbed. I think Saturday may be the next launch window.

Shiner Bock will send you into space without leaving the garage. Yup, I saw that on the news when I came back from a bike ride.

Yeah, that sucked when it got cancelled 15 minutes before launch. I'm working from home and had it on the big screen T.V. on Science Channel (vs the tiny 23 inch model we have at work).
Next attempt is Saturday about 3:30PM east coast time (12:30PM here on the Pacific coast). I'll be watching.

Had it streaming on a laptop... Will do again. Really hope we can get the whole space program rolling again.
As both a matter of pride, and science... and I think it pushes the national tech mentality. There are industrial spin offs from technology developed for space.

i will get excited when they build a moon base or take a trip to Mars...or blow up a killer asteroid. until then.

having said that, i can testify watching a rocket launch in-person is an incredible sensation.

I still don't know how the moon works when YouTube says the earth is flat?

Speaking of things I don't understand relating to space, and the public's understanding of science, I've always wanted to see the southern cross and especially Magellanic clouds. How can there be a northern and southern hemisphere of night sky on a flat earth?

The forecast is for rain most of the day tomorrow, so prospects may not be good for the second try.

2:22 pm today May 30? https://www.rocketlaunch.live/

"06:53 AM - NASA and SpaceX's live coverage is expected to begin at 11:00 AM EDT / 15:00 UTC today."

"06:43 AM - NASA and SpaceX will proceed with the countdown this morning, as the weather forecast remains a predicted 50% change of favorable conditions."

Hopefully it will happen today. I need to get my chores done before then so I can watch.

Oooops. That time above was Central Daylight Savings Time.

Latest update entry . . .

"10:15 AM - SpaceX: No significant issues on the vehicle this morning as teams continue through the countdown towards a 3:22:45 PM EDT / 19:22:45 UTC liftoff."

As stage one was about to land on the drone ship, the camera cut off, then came back on again to show a rocket stage sitting there.

Yup, thinking about it they never showed the booster rocket land on the ship. itís in my backyard! Now Space X needs to send a landscape crew out here and fix the damage and get this junk out of my yard. But yeah seriously the camera cut out then the rocket was on the ship.

Yeah and then the camera cut out again... did the rocket fall? Or is it possible the connection is made via a remote, and that moving platform sometimes just doesn't maintain the link.

Hondo the MIB will be right over to get that mess in your backyard. You won't remember it a........
