Is that duck safe? (Funny, I never thought about it before. I grew up with mother and daughter hunter cats. No careless animal was safe. But we acquired ducks twice. (We had a small pond.) First two adults. Good sized. They could fend for themselves. Then a box from Sears Roebuck of 15 cute little ducklings. That spring we put them in a chain-link fenced portion of the yard, Far, far from cat-proof. I guess the cats just knew they were out of bounds.

I知 ruled by the cat or the cats. The Cats hold a counsel meeting and decide what they are going to do with the human. I知 OK for now,

My wife kept a glass of water by her bedside for years. One night recently she woke up and caught kitty lapping it up.
Now she keeps a water filled and capped Nalgene bottle by bedside.

I dated a girl who was really into Persian cats. (They spoke Farsi.)

One of them loved running water from any kind of faucet. He'd take showers with people to drink. Weird and gross at the same time. Made him happy though.

I had a cat years ago that had to sit on the tub rail when I took a shower. No big deal she would just sit there all content. She got squashed by a car and that made me very sad for months.

I like to imagine you and the cats strolling around your property like your posse, drinking beer, watching deer and whatnot.

Our cat will hop in the shower (after we're out and the water is turned off) and drink the water that's left in the tub. Never mind the fact she has fresh CLEAN water in her dish. Put there that very morning (eye roll).
