True story

In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team.

Was this a crack, as in cocaine, commando unit, or a crack, as in highly effective, commando unit?

If the former, were they fueled by crack cocaine, or were they cracking down on the crack cocaine industry? Did they focus on users, low level dealers, or kingpins?

If the latter, what were their missions? Did they destabilize democratically elected leftist central american governments in favor of repressive but US friendly regimes?

I always wanted to know.

If it was crack, the Germans already beat them at that, since it was the "lightning" in the "Lightning War" (Blitzkrieg)

True story all about how my life got flipped-turned upside down. It'll only take a minute.

I grew up in west Philly. Did all the same stuff as my peers, hanging out on the playground, trying to act cool, shooting some hoops, cutting classes, same ol' jawn.

One day a couple of bad guys started making trouble in my neighborhood. I got in one little fight and my mom got scared and she said "You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in Bel Air."

And later found a home writing political ads and infomercial scripts where his inability to differentiate fact from fiction paid off.

I have to applaud Mr T rectal fortitude. It didn't matter what jail cell hell hole they found themselves in, he was able to produce that welding kit out of his ass and make things happen.

One day. I was shootin at some food, and up through the ground come a bubblin' crude.

(oil that is, black gold, Texas tea...)

Well the first thing you know I was a millionaire, My kinfolk said "Chewy, move away from there. They said "Californy is the place you ought to be". So, I loaded up the truck and I moved to Beverly

(Hills, that is...swimmin' pools, movie stars..)

You need to go older than that. I've passed that age and my only memory of old spice is that my grandfather used it.
