Starting To Make Sense

Yup the Sex Pistols have had it right the whole time. Johnny Rotten is still here but Sid Vicious well y’all know what happens. The music today is perfect about how I feel about society and government in the USA in 2020. Never have been one to conform to society so the music is motivating .

So I'm a long time Stooges fan but this cover by the RHCP is more my style. "Make it up as I go along"

Me too. Search and destroy is just yearning for covers because it never was properly mixed. Only last week I watched a concert of the Stooges at Lowlands 2006, it's a quite legendary show because the younger crowd didn't really know The Stooges and they were never much of a seller anyway. I stumbled upon them in 1993 and had to introduce it to a lot of music loving friends. Anyway, it was a great show but it also made me a bit sad. Rock is the music of 20-year olds energy and the crowd went absolutely nuts but if a 60 year old is the most energetic, loudest, roughest, wildest and most buttcrack showing of all the crowd and the other bands at a huge three day festival there's something wrong with the younger generation. With their neat liveshow tent with an alley in the middle and barriers so no one gets squashed. It would be even worse today, 14 years later, not only is the tent smoke free, I also wonder if after corona people are still as comfortable sweating close together ever again.

Can't really think of a song that captures my feeling about society right now, maybe because I don't feel like I understand it. Maybe later.

I saw Iggy and the Stooges open for the Pretenders in the late 80's (or maybe it was the early 90's) and the crowd didn't like them. I was disappointed, how can you appreciate the Pretenders without the help from the Stooges?

Sorry Hondo, I'm going to have to call your Starting To Make Sense" with Talking Heads "Once in a Lifetime", and raise you "Stop Making Sense", also by Talking Heads.
