...I stuffed and roasted a 20 pound turkey today. There are two of us in the house. No one is coming to visit. This might be the year I finally run out of ways to use up turkey leftovers.

The distancing thing worked out well. It was just me, my nephew and my parents. All the high maintenance family members were not there, so it was just food and football.

I started off the day with choc chip cookies. My wife had made mincemeat, which had been steeping for a few days. I made the crust and baked it prior to the turkey. 3yo girl twin said it smelled like poo. I’m not a fan, but it did not. Later I put a turkey in the oven and stock in the Instant Pot, and took the kids to the park. When we got back I made mashed potatoes, stove top stuffing, cranberry orange sauce from scratch which was a bit too orange zesty, prob my most successful gravy to date. 6yo said it looked yucky. Somehow forgot to make the green bean casserole and somehow forgot to even buy the half baked rolls my wife likes. 3yo boy twin ate everything in sight. I took some to my mom and sister a few miles over, and traded some pie.
