Better than 2020 but not good. Second year in a row my group of riding buddies won't be going to Europe. I suppose we could go later in the year but we normally go late spring to Spain, France or Italy.
Hopefully, everyone will be vaccinated by mid-year and we can get back to normal

I'm an optimist, and the first person to vote yes. Maybe a fool too. It's hard to imagine how 2021 could be worse than 2020.

I think people are just fed up with politics, virus, economy (I'm pretty sure you know the list) that we really couldn't sustain things like they are now for much longer. I think the economy will recover but it will be slow. But once the world realizes they can once again make long term plans regarding trade with the USA without all of a sudden falling out of favor... I think stability will return quickly, but getting it rolling is another thing.

I can help!
- Winter drought leads to a much worse fire season next summer.
- Agent Orange and the Proud Boys void the election.
- New Variant SARS-CoV-2 is resistant to the vaccines.
- Everyone is forced to buy bikes with SRAM disc brakes.

I can easily imagine how 2021 could be worse.

2021 will start out crappy, but will end with a feeling of optimisim in the USA. The COVID-19 virus should peak in late-February, then slowly ramp down (but not totally go away). Business, especially those in the 'hospitality' sector, will be severely affected and a lot of restaurants and small hotels/resort operations will go out of business. By the end of 2021 we'll see things open up again, restaurants/theaters/and other gathering spots will re-open (with reduced occupancy loads), and mask-wearing will only be a 'suggested practice' but not mandated.
And (most importantly) bicycle stores will once again be restocked with the newest models, lots of parts, and repair services will be done on a more timely basis!

2020 was such a horrible year. I remember it like it was yesterday.

I had high hopes, but with the botched rollout of the vaccine combined with the number of people who don't plan to get it, I don't see a return to normalcy until probably October of next year.
But at least Trump won't be in the WH, so...as said above, I think it'll be an improvement, but still a crud year.

I expect it will be a fine year for cyclists who like random mixes of parts on their bikes. I don't know one brand on mine besides the frames and tires, so I'll be fine. Disruptions in supply lines will annoy some riders who use only specific premium parts.
