I'll take whatever's offered at the time.

Who knows when that will be. My home state of Indiana is at 45 and up, while here in Oregon we're still at 65+, with at least another group before me at 60. Both states are around 12.5% vaccinated; Oregon has prioritized differently. I think a higher percentage of eligible people are also getting vaccinated here, which slows down moving to the next group.

Since I’m only 5’ 10” the BMI charts always say I’m obese. But this time it helped me get a slot for a Moderna shot. In reality they took everybody that was in the 50+ category so at 53 I qualified. They didn’t check my ID or anything just went in and right out. The impression I got was they want to get the vaccine into as many arms as possible. It was 65+ then last Monday it was 50+ .. I filled out all the info online so they had what they needed so once I was there it was fast.

It's definitely rapidly progressing. Over the past few days the big name pharmacy store chain near me has been opening up hundreds of spots daily for 3-4 days out. I decided to check on a whim when I woke up yesterday morning and was able to schedule my 2 doses for this upcoming week. Now that they've opened it to smokers, and are soon opening up the next subgroup in IL, I imagine it'll only get busier over the next few months.

Even though I had covid, getting the vaccine is a huge weight off my shoulders. Just one step towards normalcy I guess. Most of my family is vaccinated now or has it scheduled, so I'll be able to see them soon for the first time since Christmas 2019.

That is good news that your area is ramping up distribution of vaccines. I feel less stressed getting my first shot but I know that must stay careful. Iím hoping the neighboring state of Indiana is rolling out vaccine ASAP for the selfish reason I have concert tickets for July 18 at Lucas Oil Field and would hate the show to be canceled or rescheduled since July 18 is a good time logistically. Hopefully things will be back to normal by the summer but it looks 50/50 at this point.

I got my Pfizer doses February 8 and March 1. I'm not quite 65, but I volunteered at a vaccination event checking folks in. At the end of the event they had a few doses left and offered it based on people's age; I was #2 . And since I got the first one they scheduled me for shot #2. Felt a little weird the day after the second shot, but 24 hrs later I was back to my normal 60+ grouchy self.

There were about 45,000 people who participated in the clinical trials for the Pfizer vaccine. Since they were tracking these people closely during and after the trials, we know how many were hospitalized for COVID after getting the vaccine.

That number is zero.

Certainly there were a number of people who got the vaccine and later caught COVID... but none had it bad enough to be admitted to a hospital .

That's good enough for me.

Got dose 1 of Moderna today.

Yesterday the allergies hit hard, and I was terrified I had contracted Covid for a second time. Then I realized it's the beginning of allergy season and my symptoms really only fit that.

I'm pumped. It's a weight off my shoulders. And I know it'll tick off a few acquaintances who I don't like, which pleases me.

covid vaccine u getting?
No idea. Haven't researched the varieties, yet. But since I'm on nobody's list for getting one anytime soon, it'll be awhile.

I get my second shot monday (the 29th).

It's been nice knowing you all (well, most of you).

My wife gets her first shot the same day. I had very little reaction (slightly sore arm for about 16 hrs) to the first shot, but I'm planning on being out for a couple days after the second, just in case.

I mentioned having received the shot yesterday... at about the 24 hour mark I came down with a wicked fever. Hovering around 101 now. I feel beyond terrible; like as bad as I felt for a few days having covid. I had to rest like 3 times in the middle of typing this. Now I'm definitely nervous about dose 2.

I got Pfizer #1 yesterday at a CVS pharmacy. They were very efficient, probably no more than 2 minutes from when I walked in the door to when I was getting jabbed. Arm is barely sore, it was much worse after the Shingrix vaccine. I'm feeling a bit blah today, but I already had a slight cold, so I think it is likely just that. No fever, chills, or aches.

My health plan emailed me and had me make an appointment. They said it might be Pfizer or Moderna, I'll find out Friday.
Getting jabbed at the hospital vaccination clinic so I went today to check it out... no lines and outside waiting, they looked to be on the ball.
I have a broken kneecap so even if I get flu symptoms it wouldn't make any difference because I can't do anything anyway.

If I get one shot in each arm, will I get a 'Wonder Twin powers activate' effect? Or maybe Shazam!?
