I've been there but not while there was a concert going. It's a beautiful spot but very remote.

Yup I notice how remote it is. KISS will be there tomorrow night. The acoustics should be great at a venue like that. A cool drive out in the country away from the crowded city to see a concert. Mountain bike go hiking then see a concert sounds great to me.

Great venue, I've been to a few shows there. Where are you staying?

On my bucket list.

We did tick one off the list in July, seeing a show at Red Rocks.

Thinking a show at the Gorge would be pretty cool.

Not going there but in the future if an artist plays there and Iím traveling. It is a possible venue to see a concert. KISS I will see in Austin,Texas in about 10 days. Going to Austin tomorrow to see Korn and Staind. Austin shows are in an amphitheater and being outside is great though basketball arenas make great concert venues as well. Just wondering because when I looked the venue up online I was intrigued that a venue that can handle a large crowd and concert and be so for out in the boonies lol. Just an awesome area so input from folks that have been there is cool

Yup, I understand Red Rocks is an awesome concert place that got me interested in similar venues built into the landscape. Red Rocks is known for the awesome sound the I guess rocks produce lol.

I went to the Gorge a couple times for the now-defunct Sasquatch music fest. No interesting in camping nor doing that long drive out to the middle of nowhere as you said, so I haven't gone back. The landscape is nice but by the time the headliners play it'll be sunset or later, so views are not a draw for me.

KISS will be awesome there tonight. Even if you are not a KISS fan the stage show is great with all the pyro out there in the boondocks with no city lights near will enhance the production.

It's crazy because it's maybe 3 hours from Seattle. Everybody knows it rains a lot here, you start heading east and you go through rain forest, over mountains, and everything changes. The clouds end, there stop being trees, they're a sky. Very dry place. Amazing the two worlds can exist like that. Sometimes Seattle people go to that area just to escape the crappy weather here.

Heading in East in Oregon how the wet rain forest terrain turns almost into a dry desert just like that. Texas is just hot or not so hot lol.

Spectacular sunsets and sitting outside at 9:00 PM in shorts and a T shirt at 85 degrees is wonderful.
