Back in the boonies going to ice down some beer grill some fajitas and try to wind down. There had to be over 50,000 people there. Parked early to tailgate and catch a buzz before entering. Very diverse crowd and drunk old people are fun lol. Young kids all the way to grandma and grandpa. Took 3 hours to get out of the parking lot it was 2am before I got back to the hotel. Several concerts goers slamming coffee in the morning it was a great concert and fun. Massive stage and production and I’m glad I got to see The Rolling Stones.

Yup, I feel fortunate to have been able to see The Rolling Stones. Bad azz vibe the whole place was in the zone so to speak. Still buzzing from the concert slowly coming back down to Earth.

Sounds like a fun old time! I’ve been to dozens of concerts. Seen Def Leopard, Foreigner, the Eagles, Dropkick Murphy’s, Slipknot and of coarse Skynard 3 times, or the cover band known as Skynard.

A person in our group had on a Slipknot hoody and someone said Slipknot you are at the wrong concert lol we replied we are not pigeonhole into one genre of music. We love The Rolling Stones and can still jam to Slipknot, Slayer, Mayhem,Enslaved etc,

Same venue but at the amphitheater not the super stage but bad azz. Slipknot was awesome.

So glad to see my friend Hondo out enjoying great music while it's still around. I don't want to sound too dark but in some number of years there won't be Stones concerts. You were there for history.

Yup the end of an era. Modern media is taking over. The days of a bass player a drummer, lead guitar and rhythm guitar and a singer is fading away. Mick Jagger told the crowd this is their last large production show. Luckily I was there never seeing them before and being the last of that style of concert. I can say back in 2021 I was there and that will be cool. Talking to older people at the show listening to their experiences seeing the stones back in 1975, 1973 or whenever years ago was fascinating. The vibe was very peaceful with in the massive crowd.

Oh man, I wish I’d been there, too.

I would love to see them at least once more. Think they canceled their NY show (sniff).

Last time I saw them, we also got stuck in the lot. Luckily, we’d hired a clever driver and instead of waiting it out, he got us through a closed off-ramp up and out the lot before the cops stopped us. I was all but sure the cops stationed by there were going to pull us over and arrest him. But they just let us go. They did stop the cars that tried to follow after us, though haha.

I remember seeing them in the late-1970s at the Forum here in Los Angeles. Seating for about 17,000 IIRC. That was the tour with the fold-down stage with the inflatable 'phallic' device that rose out of the stage. Opening act was a Caribbean steel drum band. There was so much marijuana smoke in the air I'm almost certain I got a 'contact high' that night!

I have some very cool pics on my phone but in the boonies getting enough bars to post is zero lol. Jamming to some Rush 2112 and A Farewell To Kings. Mild S Texas winters make a chiminea fire good enough for warmth. Yes I’m buzzed but dang I still not at equilibrium The Stones concert was all that.

If you mean the Buffalo New York show, they did indeed cancel that. I had tickets. When I heard they were going back on the road post Covid I picked up the tickets and saw the mountain Pittsburgh on this tour in October. One more show to go in Hollywood Florida if anybody feels like getting over to catch what could be their last ever

That’s the one. I was all into it, too.

Just took a look and tickets are still available for that Hollywood Florida show. It wouldn’t even be that hard to convince the ball and chain to go but it’d be a whole last minute thing. I dunno...

Dang I am glad I left at 3 in the afternoon to get to the concert venue. Some people got stuck in traffic so bad they missed the entire concert! I noticed after the Stones took the stage there were thousands of cars driving in. After the concert I just tailgated ate some food I packed and waited about 2 hours before leaving and I was still stuck in departing traffic for an hour. Didn’t get back to the hotel until 2am. Luckily I already knew about Austin and their traffic issues so I insisted we get there way early. Thank goodness we did. Some missed half of the concert or the whole show. If you are interested in reading about it just google it several news outlets have reports about it. Some believe they oversold the venue which I believe is possible since it was crazy packed. I had a great time because I was there several hours early and anticipated the nightmare departing traffic so planned a post concert chill out for a few hours. I feel bad for the people that spent them bucks and couldn’t get there on time or at all. See if the owners address these issue they are already playing the blame game.

HONDO:
Here is a famous toober, midimanOz , or something like that, who takes one AUDIENCE STEREO AUDIO RECORDING of the entire show and THEN HE SPENDS A WEEK EDITING & COMBINING PORTIONS OF THE VARIOUS AUDIENCE VIDEOS OF EACH SONG..... Below is his version of your Nov 20th, 2021 Rolling Stones in Austin show. If you look at the opening screen credits, midiman, tells ya the person whose stereo audience audio recording is being used as the soundtrack, and he then attempts to synch the many portions of the multiple audience videos with the sound source, so it all seems to the listener-viewer that it is the same recording with multiple camera angles. He is dedicated and seems to do an oustanding job on his projects, given that all of his sources are various fans in the audience recording from wherever they are with whatever camera device or phone that they have.
