Interesting fact about the video of Paradise By the Dashboard Light. Ellen Foley sang the female part on the album but refused to participate in the Bat Out of Hell tour. Karla DeVito did the live performances, but for the video, they synced Foley's vocals to DeVito's performance.

Anyone seen any condolences on social media from 'Janet' or 'Brad' yet? (Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick).

Well, hate to make this "political" but the current rumor from TMZ is that Meatloaf was anti-vax mandate and died of COVID.
https://www.tmz.com/2022/01/21/meat-...d-dies-singer/
As of yet, this is an unconfirmed rumor. I don't know the "sources" referenced above... and any media with the Meatloaf-COVID message is citing TMZ. So take this "with a grain of salt."
The singer's manager, Michael Greene, confirmed Meat Loaf died Thursday night. Sources with knowledge tell TMZ ... he was supposed to attend a business dinner earlier this week for a show he's working on -- "I'd Do Anything for Love" -- but the dinner was canceled because he became seriously ill with COVID. Sources tell us that condition quickly became critical.
Our sources say Meat Loaf has been outspoken about COVID, railing with folks in Australia recently about vaccine mandates. We do not know if he was vaccinated.

I'm sure there are people with rational, organized, planned and well executed lives who disagree. I think they're aliens.
RIP you ballad singing madman.

I still remember the early 90s when mainstream radio air play was all about the Seattle grunge sound. It seemed we’d turned our backs on the sounds of 70s and 80s rock.
Hair metal bands were considered passé and over.
Then a slightly past his prime Meat Loaf put out one of his greatest hits with “ I would do anything for love (but I won’t do that).”
Reminded everyone what an incredible talent Meat Loaf was and that talent can’t be constrained by changing tastes and aging demographics.
Rest In Peace, Meat.

Thanks for those clips. I had never known about Meat Loaf previously except for the Rocky Horror stuff. My high school friend was projectionist at the downtown movie theater. So I had seen that movie several times around the area, including from inside the booth. Lots of fun. Being inside the “late night double feature picture show…”. I will get myself updated on his other stuff. Thanks.
