Considered reserving a parking spot by the Moody Center with Park Whiz. The Manor Garage right by the arena. I did this for the Iron Maiden concert since I’m driving a good distance to Austin. Yes they gouge you lol but if you are in a rent a car it might be worth it. Since you are flying in from a far. The parking pass is similar to an E ticket. Used Park Whiz for GnR in Dallas just scan and park. Local San Antonio venues I already know well so I know where to go lol for cheap parking.

Look on the bright side: A staycation means you won't have to remove the ankle bracelet.

Like so many others said, $3.79 and yer *****in? Try visiting CA, you'll never leave (because you won't be able to afford the gas to get back out to AZ)
This year I forgot my annual New Year's tradition of making a note of all my odometers. But over the 1 1/3 years from 2021-01-01 to 2022-04-30, the two cars driven by my family of 4 drivers (and in the beginning of 2021 there were 5 of us) accumulated about 9K and 6K miles. That's my solution to gas prices. Does that make me "car-light"?

It was opened a little prematurely in my estimation. The sections along with the rows weren't marked well at all. But it did open just a week or so ago... Uber was my friend, I'd have never found it. Lol.
Wouldn't walk across the street to hear the opening band again

Hopefully they will address all the bugaboos of the new venue get them fixed. Uber was probably the best way to get there from your hotel. I drive about 120 miles from Hondo to Austin so I just got the parking spot at the local garage. Most shows I see in Austin are at the Germania Amphitheater near the airport right off the toll road so easy to get to and very large parking area. It’s a Formula 1 racetrack as well. I stay at a hotel by the airport usually the Hilton Tru decent but not crazy expensive and they sell beer lol. The whole hotel was booked with Rolling Stones fan last November that was at the COTA Circuit of the Americas that has the amphitheater the racetrack and the super stage where to Stones were playing. Glad you enjoyed The Who.

We're in an Airbnb maybe a mile from downtown in the Cherrywood area. It's nice and quiet.. It was snowing Monday afternoon at home, then flew to Austin early Tuesday. Its going to take me longer than I'm here to get acclimated to the heat and humidity..

Our gas prices here were ticking down slowly, but it just started going back up, now around $4.10...just six dollars more and we'll hit the jack pot....come on $10 gas

LOL - gas here is going up 8 cents a liter to $1.70 CDN
3.8 liters per US gallon - $6.46 CDN per US gallon
XE.com claims $6.46 CDN is $5.03 USD
My bike makes sense more everyday... almost like that is the desired effect...

$4.29 here, though I've not checked my usual station, which is slightly lower. Glad I filled up last week.
Of course, today I discovered that it appears my bike pump died. At least, I assume both tubes didn't go bad over the winter, but I've not troubleshot it yet. Was not an expense I needed/wanted right now. Also annoying because I had a planned ride tonight and Saturday as commutes to places I wanted to go. Guess not.

Crazy prices and being in a cheap region for gasoline prices it still bites! My bikes are all ready to go all for burning calories and exercise now they are turning into potential essential transportation. Still impractical for the distances but within urban centers very useful. I’m glad I never abandoned my cycling hobby because I can if I had to ride 100 miles and with food intake no problem. So being one of the weirdo endurance freaks is not looking so messed up after all

Golly; our gas prices may eventually get back down to $5.50. Maybe.
Bike touring, S24O's, all sounding like good ideas this summer.
