Been around the block
3.79 a gallon, where do I fill up? It's over 6 bucks a gallon at the gas station around the corner from my house. The one silver lining, gas always gets cheaper the further I get from home. No staycation this year!
Our railroad has been gone for years, and it's a treat to hear the train horns and crossing signal bells when we are in train country.

If only we lived on a continent with abundant fuel reserves the increased extraction of which could drive prices down...

You dont need to travel to far or maybe even not use the car and do some bike touring in TX.
Many great places like the hill country, Fredricksburg, big bend, austin, many other great parks and reserves ...

Should be lots cheaper than spending your $$$ at concerts?

If only we had self-propelled vehicles of some sort that would allow us having to inject the "abundant fuel reserves" into the atmosphere and destroy entire ecosystems in order to save a few pennies now.

Why has not Elon Musk invented transporters yet?
Maybe he is not a Treke
Oh thats right, it would kill his Tesla car sales

If only cars were the only use... hard to stay alive in a lot of this continent without some form of carbon use. Everyone who has ever not frozen to death in NA can thank carbon-based fuels.

First concert on the schedule is Styx - Reo Speedwagon - Loverboy on July 21 in Austin. Then Mötley Crue - Def Leppard - Poison - Joan Jett on Aug 21 in San Antonio. September .. Rammstein in San Antonio, Iron Maiden in Austin, Alice In Chains in Austin. Then in November Greta Van Fleet in San Antonio, WASP in San Antonio.
too many lol. Forcing myself to get on the bike in a few minutes the first few miles I will be like what is the point? Then the endorphins will kick in and I will be all happy. I need a 18 miles to hit my 100 mile a week goal. Late summer and early fall is concert season here.

I have too many cats, Didn’t plan on 4 indoor cats and 3 outside cats. It just happened. Interesting creatures they each have their own distinct personalities.

Cool. The Moody Center is a brand new facility on the UT campus designed for acoustics and for the UT basketball teams. I think it opened in April. I will be seeing Iron Maiden there. Beware of Austin traffic. My concert schedule is full and my wallet is empty. Be sure to post a report and some pics of the concert. I’m very interested in the faculty, the concert I will be attending isn’t until Sept 13.
