Silly me

Well my alarm went off this AM I rolled over turned it off and thought "nice I don't have to work today". I slept for another hour, got up kicked around the house called a buddy up left a message to see if he wanted to meet for breakfast. He called me back a half hour later

"Hey where are you?"

"I'm at home"

"Why?"

"I was just hanging out and waiting to see if you wanted to do breakfast. Why what are you doing?"

"Working?"

"Oh putting in some OT?"

"Nope I always work Fridays don't you?"

"It's not friday, it's Saturday"

"Nope its Friday I thought you might have your days confused"

"Oh **** it is Friday, **** there is no one down there, oh ****!!!!"

I had to borrow his truck so I wouldn't be to late. Everybody is making fun of me, except my boss that is. He didn't even talk to me for the first two hours. Worse yet there goes my overtime.

Happy Friday Everybody

See, now if you'd had a sleepover with one of those crazy ladies you were talking about you would've been reminded right away that it was Friday.

I like the other days better; where you wake up and grab your commuting gear and then realize it's Saturday. But, since you're up and you've got your gear in your hands, you go for a ride anyway and stop at the Union Market for a tea and a scone. And sit on their sidewalk café and talk to the lady with the friendly German Shepherd.

(Union Market is a mini deli-bakery in Vancouver, cleverly located on the bike route (Adanac) where few people in cars ever tread.)

Yeah I have done this a couple of times. I usually ride up to Snohomish and have a latte on the river then ride back.

Funny you mentioned that. I thought the same thing when I was driving in. I'll have to call her and make sure I am covered for Monday
