DFW Volunteer opportunity

I spent four great hours with two friends of mine volunteering at the Emergency Drop Off center for the Salvation Army. If you have spare time and are interested in volunteering for the disaster relief effort, this place needs people badly! Essentially, you sort through the things people drop off and box them up. They are up in the White Settlement area, if you want more information, I can give you directions on how to get there. AND...they give you a t-shirt! Not like we don't all have enough of those, but nice nevertheless. I'll wear it next time I go down. It's not very hard work (some heavy lifting etc), and it makes you feel like you are doing something good for others.

Oh, and heads up...if you ever donate something in the future, think a case of something like tuna fish, corn, beans, infant formula something like that. Otherwise it all has to be sorted!!
