Dumb Things I Saw On My Ride Today - Photo Thread

I know I'm not the only one who likes to take a digital camera along sometimes when I'm riding, especially when I'm taking a new route or venturing into new territory. The other day I took a picture of something just because it seemed stupid to me, and I thought I'd post it here and give others the opportunity to do the same! So, grab your camera, hop on your bike, and go find something stupid to photograph!

Locks and chains only deter the more honest thieves.

Had I saw that... I probably would have (if light enough) lifted the can up and put it 2 ft away from the chain.

Guys.....I think you got it all wrong....I do that (but with a rope). It's so that the wind doesn't knock it down and dispense trash all over the place.

I thought that might be possible, too, but it is a metal trash can, up against the building. The first impression I got was that it was "theft-proof" though, and luckily I wasn't the only one lol. Does anyone else have a good one? I'm headed out in just a little bit here, you never know what might be out there...

A longstanding OSHA requirement clearly states that any standard trash bin containing significant amounts of nuclear, atomic, or similar radioactive lethal waste products must be chained to the building for the sake of public safety.

Hope you didn't stand there too long to snap the photo, Zee.

Could be just to keep people from moving it around, or the guy at the shop next door putting it in front of HIS place....

Well, the trash bin is in front of a store that sells crutches, walkers and wheelchairs, so I doubt it contained nuclear, atomic, or radioactive waste products Thanks for the concern, though. I went there to mail a letter in the mailbox outside because the pick-up time is 9:30 am.

When I left work today, I went out to the bike rack and there was a huge Honda Shadow parked next to it. It had a ticket for parking on the sidewalk. I can't imagine why. I mean, really, a motorcycle can park anywhere a bicycle can...
