What is the worst place you've ever been to? To make this even more fun, name one place in your own country and another OS (if you've been OS!). It may be that the place is ok but the people there are thoroughly unlikable genetic freaks who should be culled. It might even be that the place used to suck but is ok now. Let us all know.

Come on and share the love........

A few months ago I (as god-father) went to visit some friends in Kansas/Missouri border for my god-son's baptism.

OMG....that was the most boring, nothing there, hick area I've ever seen. The "biggest" amusment park (that's what they called it) within 100 miles was a pool that had a slightly larger than average slide and their friend couldn't go because of the $2 admission.

For those of you around this area in Tampabay.....I recall desribing it when I got back as hundreds of miles of Dade City.

Pisco, Peru. There's an animal sanctuary nearby, so a trickle of us gringos go through there.

Just another poor, simple, friendly, nothing nowhere boring fish-packing town. On the way to the nature reserve you pass a line of huge fish-packing factories. You'd have to hold your breath to stop the gag effect. The nauseating fishy smell in the air was palpable.

And for some stupid reason I decided to have fish in a restaurant one evening for dinner. I ate about half before I couldn't bear it anymore, made my excuses, and left.

One day later it came back to haunt me in the form of violent diarrhoea and vomiting while hiking up Mt. Arequipa. I stopped at about 5000m when I decided that the fish had won. One day I might return to avenge myself.

Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
The two kind of run together.

I'm not judging the people.
Whether they're locals or tourists, they all seemed to belong there.

I guess Im just the eternal ray of sunshine, but I can't think of anyplace that was that bad.

If it really was bad, it just added to my amusement.

Well, one winter in Murmansk, Russia was pretty bad. It was wicked cold. And that was WOTHOUT the wind chill.

Or maybe the time in Zaire whan the elephant chased me?

Nah, it was all good!

Oh yeah, the prison in Kabul was kind of tough, but after you got used to drinking sour goat's milk every day it wasn't so bad.

I've been to this one place called Massachusetts and a similar area named Connecticut, you may have heard of them. Anyway, they suck. The people are selfish, uppety, yuppie ****wads. They are sick socialite scumbags that don't give a rat's ass about any other person; their well-being, or their very life.

Hermitage, TN was nice.

There was that time I walked into a bar in Troy, MT to ask directions.

I was wearing a Sierra Club T-Shirt at the time (I lost a bet).

It could have gotten a lot uglier, but I redeemed myself by getting that cranky chainsaw started.

Oh yeah, when I travel, I'm sure to mention that I'm from California. You can get away with a lot more after that.

...and "Kalifornia" sounds a lot cooler than UNITED STATES of AMERICA when you're abroad.

I feel you there. I did that once on a road bike. Did not think I would make it home.

Yeah, the humidity in San Antonio bites majorly in the summer. Though from what I'm told at its worst it is nothing compared to some places like San Diego and other big cities during their normal period

actually, the very worst place for me was this very poor kid's house. we went to school with him. we went out there to visit one day and it was in the middle of the hot desert in a very small collection of broken down trailer homes. there was junk all over the place - cars rusted on blocks, a half dozen dogs roaming around (not to mention feces). inside it was crammed with junk, there were more dogs and a cat or two (not to mention feces...inside). you couldn't turn around without bumping into someone or something. i actually couldn't stand being inside for more than a minute, i had to get out.
