Look at him, it's not a even a picture of him climbing out, it's him RUNNING FOR HIS LIFE.

Like, you buy a suspiciously cheap and clean used car from a guy in a suit with way too much cologne on at a street corner, you catch of a glimpse of his drivers license in his wallet, from 4 states a way. An hour later you're at walmart and realize the trunk is missing the tag...

I have a similar tag in my car. I figured it was there to allow mob informants a chance to escape.

In Ireland, if you look very carefully, you can see these handles in the glove boxes too.

So if ya be catchin' a leprechaun, don't be puttin' 'im in the glove box!

Why does it make you laugh? If your car had just gotten hijacked and someone had beaten you nearly to death, and stuck you in your trunk and you glanced up and saw this glow in the dark handle that clearly shows you how to get the hell out, would you laugh?

These handles don't exist on many cars on the road today. And also a lot of people, including some kids that can't read, have died in trunks without escape mechanisms. I think the fact that it clearly shows you can get out to anyone, including those who can't read, is pretty cool and long overdue.

Actually the handles and tag has been mandated by law since like 1992 or something.

And I find the tag hilarious. Look at him go! The little figure depicted running for his life is arguably doing the 100 meter sprint faster than any olympic sprinter.

This, and the fact that he is a tiny little man, and it looks like he was in that running position before the trunk opened, and then he just sprung right out.

Yesterday, I probably wouldn't have laughed in this situation. But now that I've read this thread, I would laugh my a$$ off and then pull the handle.
