Best and Worst.

What was:

Your worst moment this week.

Your best moment this week.

Mine:

Worst: When I had a few bad days at work and took it out on my friend TC.
Best: When the big boss said I'll do fine and my friend TC forgave me.

Worst: Having some nob on the plane who kept coming up to talk to his friends (who sat in front of me). Half the flight on/off he was standing right next to me (aisle seat) leaning over to talk to guys in front of me.

Best: I guess walking out of my day of interviews here knowing I answered all questions well and feeling good about the whole thing (I'm in Long Island, NY at the moment).

I knocked over a stroller when I flew through a red light and this lady was using her 9 month old kid as a road block in the pedestrian crosswalk. She started screaming something but I didn't want to stick around to find out what she was yelling.

Was that the best or the worst?

How did you know the kid was 9 months old?

Best: I really must mention two. (1) Good results on Monday morning from a key NMR experiment I was very excited about. (2) Sunday ride with some BikeForums members in training for the upcoming apple pie century. They were nice enough to plan a training ride emphasizing endurance just for me since I was feeling uncomfortable about the distance, and they worked it around my schedule. That was very nice of them. And we had a wonderful time.

Worst: Too many incidents of poor results in the lab that I've suppressed already. (Suppressing the emotions from failures in the lab quickly is a necessary skill to succeed as a research scientist.) But hey, if the worst that happened is research not progressing smoothly, then that's a pretty good week.

Now don't you start doing pi and factorials on me!

I like pi, though.

That and sigma.

worst: failing to hold back an audible release of gas in the engineering offices today at work....my god was that awkward.

best: ordering the parts to get my computer and my bikes (hopefully) the way I want them. So far the computer is now the quietest, coolest running one ever...my roadbike wheels are coming any day now (freaking USPS), and the parts to try to get my mountain pedals off are due in as soon as USPS gets around to it as well.

All I gotta say, it's pimptacular!
