Since the crashing of my computer, I have lost my itunes library. I would like to, somehow, put the songs from my ipod to my itunes library. Is this possible? If so, can you please give me some directions on how to do it. All help is appreciated.

I asked my 12 year old who has an i pod, and he suggested you don't try to mess with it until you call the apple store, because he thinks you might lose all your songs if you do it incorrectly. good luck.

Ha, thats funny, not being sarcastic, but i never even thought of calling apple. Now would this be a technical question?

You are not allowed to transfer songs from the ipod to a computer to prevent piracy. You can get a programs that will allow transfer via disc mode...

You could just rerip the CDs right? --- or did you copy the music of the net!

Here is a bit from a WSJ article I read last week. If you want the full text of the article, PM me and I will email it to you.

Start of snip....
First, here's how to use an iPod to copy music to multiple computers. You just have to download and install one of a number of small utility programs designed specifically to let you copy the music on the iPod to a computer. There are lots of these, for both Windows and Macintosh computers.

For Windows users, I suggest CopyPod, available for $20 with a two-week free trial, at www.copypod.net. For Mac users, I like PodWorks, available for $8 with a limited-function 30-day free trial at www.scifihifi.com/podworks. Another, similar program, which comes in versions for both Windows and Mac, is PodUtil, available for 10 ($17.66), with an unlimited free trial, at www.kennettnet.co.uk.
End of snip
