Yeah, I saw that thread. I was tempted to post in it, but my bike has a pink chainring as well as silver spokes and hubs. Then someone would mention something about not having "breaks" and call me a hipster. At that point I would have to inform them that I'm not a hipster and I have no brakes on it because the last place I rode it was on a velodrome.

We need to look at organizing some kind of BF/Foo ride in the greater CLT area while Jschen is here. He'll be staying with me, and I'm thinking a Sunday 12/30 ride would be good. Perhaps in Gaston County to make it a bit more accessible to more of us in this larger area, though we have some great routes in the University area, too....
Awesome! I'll do my best to make it. I may have family in town around that time. Just keep me informed. Glad Jason found a place to rest his head while he is in our neck of the woods.

Trying to plan my schedule for next semester. Right now, it looks like my Mondays will be class from 8:00am-12:00pm, and hour for lunch, then 1:00pm-10:00pm.

Ehh, maybe I need to figure something else out.

edit: wait, that's only to 6:00pm. That's not so bad.

I live 20min from the Frisco velodrome and would like to have a sweet (vintage lugged italian) track bike to take up there from time to time.

Tell her if she lets you have a track bike, you won't ask her for anything else for until after Christmas. Or tell her you want one for Christmas.

All I really need is a frame and a crank and chain. I've got a front wheel. Someone's got a rear wheel they promised me. I've got a saddle and seatpost that can go on. Stem and bars, got at least one spair set in the parts box. Pedals, uh, maybe I need a pair of pedals unless I swap off another bike when needed. Brakes and levers, meh, I've got enough road bikes, but I might want to run fixed on the road for training, but that can be a part 2.

you are a sick man. Justifying a track bike because you have a spare front wheel!!!!!!! Funny, but sick non the less. Up for an easy ride this weekend?

Sitting here shocked that I felt the magnitude 5.6 earthquake way over by Milpitas. Felt like I was sitting in a boat. I've lived here so long i usually don't feel them. My mother in law felt it too, Wife and kids didn't.

It's like Old Home Week here. Dinner last night with an old high school friend, dinner tonight with a friend I was in school with almost non-stop from 1st grade through high school. Great times catching up.

Now, time for beddy-bye so I can be all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed tomorrow as I try to decipher four year old merger documents tomorrow -- only the most Gawd-awful, turgid, inpenetrable prose devised by the human brain, with the possible exception of college freshman English essays.

Night, all.
