Anybody ever use Blag GNU/Linux?

Any advice? The backup 'puter keeps crashing with Ubuntu. the HAL device keeps fouling up, and I can't ever seem to get it recompiled or repaired and a hard format/reinstall seems to be a temporary measure at best, not to mention a major hassle! I'm looking at installing the Blag OS to try it out. If anybody has any advice or suggestions, chime in! It's going on a PII Machine, 450 MHZ with 128 meg RAM and 6.2 gig HD......I know, an antique, but it's a backup, like I said! It's also a play with OS platform for me that if it ever fries, no loss, I built it out of discard parts.

permanent solution, been around since the beginning, well maintained, huge user base, free to download and use, and best of all, its complete, and I mean complete, comes with everything but the kitchen sink---multiple browsers, several GUI's, has anywhere from one to 6 or 7 versions of just about any app you will use on a regular basis, only thing you might miss is gnome, that was dropped in version 10.2, but its available to download in pkg format from slackware if you want it or you can always compile it from source

^^^repository for precompiled apps for slackware

+1 on slack!

browse to Distrowatch for a few other ideas...

NetBSD is also pretty compact and zippy on older Pentiums...

and i still have a working PII 350MHz box that was my main server from 1999 to 2004...
