Buy a pickup truck and hang out at Best Buy or Circuit City. It won't take long before some lady pulls up in a Honda Civic expecting the stock boys to load that 52 inch flat screen she just bought into the car. You then just saunter up and say, "Ma'am, I have a truck. Would you like me to help you get that thing home?"

You have to figure she is not married or dating anyone, otherwise he would be there helping her and she's probably a sports fan since she sure doesn't need that big honkin' TV to see what kind of trouble Victor Newman is getting into on "The Young and the Restless."

If she takes you up on your offer she will probably offer to pay you for your trouble. That's when you act all gallant and reply, "Oh Ma'am, I couldn't accept money but, if you are free this Saturday evening, I sure would appreciate it if you would allow me to take you to dinner."

What might actually be nice, is for Joe to open up a Forum specifically for singles to meet up in their local areas to go riding together, and get to know each other. You never know who you'll meet.

Sort of CyclingSingles forum, eh?

That idea gets floated around and Joe points to another website already running for that purpose or says head to the Foo.

Wow man +1 for you.

Good thing that bothered you, the fact she was married, lots of people wouldn't care.

Glad to see some people in this world have some morals.

maybe it wasn't a wedding ring. it could have been an onion ring from her lunch and she was embarrased that it got on her finger so she took it off before hitting on you.

Just FYI, I've known a few different single girls who wore a "wedding ring" because the didn't like being hit on by every schmo on the planet. The ring would come off when they went on dates or on other occasions.

Did you ASK her if she's married or did you just ASSUME she is?

After my last breakup about 7 years ago, I was fed up with women and got tired of being hit on. I bought a nice wedding band and voila... women backed off... well.. except for the dirty hoes. About 3 years later, I met zee blonde and have been with her ever since. We both don't want children so we see marriage as pointless for us. Still, even though we aren't married, we both wear rings so people won't hit on us.

LMAO... at least you get action at starbucks. We were at starbucks a few weeks ago sitting outside. We had a homeless lady who said she was HIV positive, plop herself down @ our table, interject in our conversation, and start helping herself to some of the cakes I had bought and put in the center of the table. Then she started asking for money... to which I responded I spent it all on the cakes. I am not stupid... I saw the railroad tracks on her arms.
After that, we sit INSIDE starbucks.

You should have introduced yourself to the lady then as scuba-steve That would have made you an instant chick magnet if you wore the yellow suit with red SS badge
