Never let your emotions get involved.

This was said to me by another Fooster a long time ago. Good words to live by. Things are so much easier now that I understand what he meant!

Sooooooooo much easier....

I recommend it highly. He is a smart man.

I keep mine inside most of the time, then just lash out every few months.

I'm not kidding either.

Never let your emotions get involved.

There are so many things for which that's excellent advice. Now, if I could just figure out how to do it I'd be gold.

ohh and on subjet, yeah good advice but it never works for me that way, I let just about every desicion be based on emotions.. even when the outcome is not too good, at least I know I did it as I felt it should be done, be true to your heart kind of thing

Never let your emotions get involved in what?

Is there a rule against expressing complete thoughts here?

Awww thanks for enlightening us with that. Now I understand. I'm in the same boat although I'm still managing, but I don't care like I use to cause I don't plan on being around much longer.

Personally If I had control over my emotions I'd prefer not to care about anything, that way I never feel like crap.

Caring about something that you struggle with, or care about, always ends in disapointment.

well Im sure in managing too, took me years to be able to leave work at work and years to understand that I cant let emotion not dictate from what to do so I opted for not getting too close to employees and make them friends anymore.
work at work, friends outside of work!

Meg Ryan said something to Tom Hanks in some sappy movie about "Whatever something is, it starts by being personal." Does that apply here?

I totally agree. It should be natural, let eachother's personalities mesh and both have to accept eachother for who they are. That's the only way. There will be times that they don't get along, but true friendship they always come back to eachother and make it right.
