Speechless.

I'm working on hooking my radios up to a new power supply I got and I'm playing music. My room mate's girlfriend comes in asking me what I'm playing... it's Frank friggin Sinatra. What is wrong with people these days? Seriously, I couldn't believe I know someone who doesn't know the sound of Sinatra, much less never heard of him.

On the side, my room mate's girlfriend never ceases to amaze me at how stupid a human being can actually be, but that's another story.

I could forgive her not knowing Sinatra. But if she didn't know the Beatles, I'd send her off to re-education camp.

Sinatra's "In the Wee Small Hours" should be required listening.

Beatles? Isn't that the band Paul McCartney was in before Wings??

I would probably only recognize Sinatra if it was one of his most popular songs....and I'm 41....old enough to know better!

Egad! Please tell me she's barely 18, and raised by parents who lived in a cave.

I had some friends talk about forming a band. Moment laters we started watching Dazed and Confused. When Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" started up, they both said "cool Led Zep".

Ditto.

I can recognize Sinatra, but ask me about any other of those crooner types, and I haven't got a clue.

You are right and ooooohhhh so wrong at the same time there. People have been bound, gagged and forced to listen to an endless loop of Neal Sedaka tunes for saying things less heathen than that. Believe, the end result is not pretty . . . .
