Camera makes the seat look more angled than it is. This one was $20. I did add tubes, tires, bar tape, and new brake levers, and brake cables.

I did pay $50 for this one, sold it for $220 in a day, had some nice campy bits,

I paid $40 for this one, sold for $350. I would have loved to have kept this, but to big.

I have more...........

Siera Grande Kuwahara

Interesting too that they mis-spelled "Sierra" in "Siera Grande" and a fellow I met on the weekend worked at the shop this bike came from in 1985, thought he probably built it up, and they they listed for $700.00 new.

He has a 1984 model he has had since new and showed me a pic of his...it looks just as good and he said he has never ridden more miles on any bicycle.

The best part about the bike is how well it rides and handles... but then again...it is a Kuwahara.
I'm not sure if resurrecting an ancient post is appropriate, but I was excited to see this green Kuwahara. I have the identical bike here in NZ. It has the Fred Deely sticker as well as a "sold and serviced" Western Cycles, Edmonton on it. Only difference being no deer head rear derailleur. I do not know if this bike was imported by a NZ business or not, but expect it was brought over personally. Whatever it is in truly spectacular condition and with Maxxis cream walled tyres on it (2.3!) looks fantastic and is an absolute hoot to ride. I do love the wide bullmoose handlebars. The motorcycle brake? levers are reassuring and the Araya RM 25 rims are a thing of shiny beauty.

A new build begins, looking to build an 'all-road' rig, something I can ride just about anywhere the road takes me across the country. Plan is to put it on top of the Yakima basket on my truck and go explore. I've started a build thread over in the Cyclocross/Gravel forum.

Great choice for it! Here is mine. I move it between geared with 35mm tires and single/fixed with 35mm studded marathon winters...

5th year riding the Minn 3.0 on the beach. Tough environment has eaten 4 BBs, 3 pedal sets, 10 chains, 1 rear D, a couple cable sets, brake pads. Jones H Bar is very cool.

I get a lot of satisfaction collecting bikes for free, fix/flip ones that i think will sell, scrap the rest for parts and keep choice parts for personal use
i swapped a mountain bike for the Cannondale. Parts for the Record were selected from a XDS mixte & a single speed Reid
The wheeler has mostly Merida parts

Klunker

Paid 50 bucks for a late 50s early 60s Schwinn frame about a year ago, built this Klunker out of it almost completely out of spare parts I had. New parts include wheels built on 80s? SA high flanges hubs with internal brakes and SS spokes, SE pedals, and no name aluminium bars.
(as you can see I don't know how to resize the pics, not used to the new system)
